CAPITAL OF CHILDREN: Children’s General Assembly
The first-ever international Children’s General Assembly convened in Denmark and presented their ideas on creating a better future to the United Nation’s General Assembly. With all the press surrounding the General Assembly, including President Biden’s first speech to the UN, MGA Media Group was tasked to garner media coverage of the children’s manifesto, hoping to have their voices heard. The children’s statement focused on climate change, education and poverty, and called on world leaders to invest more time and money in education rather than military, and invest more in green energy and technology than in monetary growth.
RESULTS
MGA Media Group coordinated an in-depth interview for an Associated Press reporter with two of the participating children located across the world, via zoom, which resulted in a story that ran on PBS Newshour, The Washington Post, Toronto Star, and many other outlets across the U.S. and Canada. The campaign generated over 230 million UVM and the Children’s General Assembly was so successful that it will become an annual event so young voices can be heard amongst the world’s leaders.
